Hosts cancellation policy and fees

  • If host must cancel a confirmed guest, RentalGuide24 will charge a penalty cancellation fee and may also require an explanation along with additional supporting documentation.

  • If the host cancels a guest 75 days or more prior to check-in the cancellation fee is 10% of the total rental cost, excepting any add-ons the guest has booked.

  • If the host cancels a guest 74 days or less prior check-in the cancellation fee is 15%, excepting any add-ons the guest has booked.

  • The website will send an invoice to the host and the host has 30 days to make the payment to RentalGuide24.

  • RentalGuide24 will also disable the property from our booking system, this days you cancel the guest booking.

Why does RentalGuide24 charge the host a cancellation fee?

  1. The fee covers any extra costs that the website will incur trying to find the guest a replacement property, or in the event we can’t find a replacement property, we will return the full payment to the guest.

  2. Cancelling a guest can have a big impact on the guest’s travel plans, flights, work, activities booked, travel insurance, the list goes on. During high season, it can be difficult to find a replacement rental property or hotel.

  3. There is a Special Circumstances Policy for hosts which RentalGuide24 can apply in some rare cases.
